By entering the ZIP Code where the item is located, you receive extra visibility at no additional cost. Your item will be shown in buyers' search results when they sort or filter by location. Your item is in the global and local marketplaces at the same time—free!
To add or change your location to your item listing, simply enter it on the Sell Your Item form. Once you enter this information, it becomes your default location for every item you list thereafter. To change your default location, click the "Change location" link in the "Item location" section of the Sell Your Item form.
Accurately describing where your item is located can attract buyers from your local area. By indicating your correct ZIP Code you are telling buyers in your local area and close by states that the item they are bidding on, may in some cases, be less expensive to ship.
You'll especially benefit if you're selling large, heavy, or fragile items. eBay buyers have expressed great interest in purchasing these items locally.
